This statement applies to gardril.com and gardril.ca, including our course catalog, learner assessment flow, and employer tools. Last reviewed 15 October 2026.
Our commitment
Gardril exists so every worker can prove what they know and get back on the job — and that has to include workers with disabilities. We are committed to making our websites and training platform usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Conformance target
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by regulators and courts in both the United States (Americans with Disabilities Act) and Canada (Accessible Canada Act and provincial accessibility legislation).
✓ In our design system Our text and button colours are tested against WCAG AA contrast ratios on every background they appear on, and we check every release with automated accessibility testing.
Current status
Our platform launched in 2026, and our accessibility work is ongoing. The websites are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most content meets the standard, and we are actively remediating the parts that do not yet.
Known limitations
- In the employer dashboard, some menu items and summary cards cannot yet be reached with a keyboard alone. We are rebuilding them as standard buttons and links.
- Some course content is still being reviewed for full keyboard operability and caption coverage.

What we do
- Accessibility requirements are part of our design system, applied to every new page and course.
- We test with keyboard-only navigation and screen reader software during development, and moving video on our pages can be paused with a Pause videos button.
- We review our sites against WCAG 2.1 AA on a recurring schedule and after significant changes.
- If the identity check is a barrier for you, contact us before you start and we will work with you on another way to verify your identity. Every Gardril credential requires a verified identity.
Compatibility
Our sites are designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and with common assistive technologies, including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver, on desktop and mobile.
